Let the problem lead the visit
Tell the person treating you what you want help with before naming a treatment. Ask what else could explain the problem and what other paths are worth discussing.
Then move to the proposed medicine. A clear answer names the product, explains the reason for it, and leaves room for your follow-up questions.

Read the guidance and state ruleChoose what to ask
Tick a question to put it in your visit notes.
Ask for an answer you can repeat
Ask for an answer in plain words. Request the medicine name and plan in writing. Keep any unclear point on your question list.
Bring the same questions to an in-person visit or a remote one. You do not need to know the drug terms before you begin.
